Close Encounters of the Third Grade Kind-Book Review

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

The newest book by Phillip Done (pronounce like “phone with ‘D’), called ‘Close Encounters of the Third-Grade kind” takes you through the course of a school year from a teacher’s perspective.

As a twenty-year veteran in an elementary classroom, you can imagine he has seen and heard it all. He takes us through cursive writing, trick or treating, giving to the needy and more.

It’s a very light-hearted book (well, there is one part where you might cry) and a very easy read. I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it for anybody that has ever been a student. I’ve even passed it on to Mr. Serious and he is going to read it next.

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review. My opinions are my honest, and thoughtful views and were not influenced by any source. I was not compensated monetarily for this review and giveaway.

  1. I am reading this book right now! I just love it! I think he did an amazing job of capturing so many "teacher" moments. I think there is another one…you have to let me know if you read it!
    Have a wonderful thanksgiving!
