Whirlwind Week of Mother’s Day | Mommy and Me Monday | 378th ed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

This week was a whirlwind week. I’m just now sitting down to my computer the first time since Tuesday and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Before heading out, Mr. Serious B and I had a walk while the big three were in karate. The weather was too gorgeous to do anything but walk around for an hour. Our shadows were so sharp so we had to get a picture of us.

Walking around

Wednesday, I headed to NOLA with my besties Meghan and Lindsey. And literally, I have two pictures of the three of us. One in the pitch black of night and one in the reflection in a mirror about 20 feet away. I guess you could say it was a great trip.

Saturday, even after returning home, I was dropped off at our YMCA, when Mr. Serious ended up being 2 cars behind us for dropping of the girls at parents night out. So, I got to hug on them, kiss on them, and then we parted ways so Mr. Serious and I could attend a retirement party. Whew! Picked up the girls, and I didn’t finally get home until around 10pm!

There had been much planning done Saturday because Sunday when I woke up to the smell of bacon and breakfast. But, the girls didn’t come bug me to come downstairs and eat. They waited patiently and when then heard me coming down the stairs, I could hear them all shuffle and run, and they greeted me under this sign and yelled out “Happy Mother’s Day!”

Mother's Day brunch

We headed to church, came home and had lunch and I had to deal with our van. Thankfully, I got it all worked out, found a traveling mechanic (who knew that was a thing, but we were more than impressed!), and headed to a Mother’s Day stadium workout. The oldest wanted to go with me and do the workout and we did almost the whole thing (except one last stadium run because we ran out of time). I don’t think she’s ever been that sweaty, but it was fun and I enjoyed her company.

Mother's Day Bootcamp

I know Mother’s Day can be a hard day for some, but know that I think of everybody on this day and know what a struggle it can be.

Did you get in the picture this week?

GET IN THE PICTURE WITH YOUR KIDS! Who cares what you look like? Who cares how you appear? Who cares what you are wearing? JUST DO IT! Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.
