Smoothies with B | Mommy and Me Monday | 592nd ed


We’ve had some screen time monsters over here and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a struggle. There’s a lot of coming and going and summer time crazy. 

I got up early Sunday to get my bike ride in, but life and delays. So, when I finally got to it, I was met with a lot of “I’m boreds”. 

Naturally, I think the boredom results in their most creative time, but this time, B was really wanting to bake or make something. 

I suggested she get out the recipe book and find something she might want to make. 

She settled on blueberry muffins with a streusel topping and a smoothie.

Once off the bike, I helped her make those happen. I’m not the resident baker so I had to do a little stretching, but we got the muffins done. Once those were cooking, we got to making a smoothie. (I had E take pictures, but upon going and looking back, it turns out I have a ton of videos!)


Of course, the recipe for the smoothie called for all the things we didn’t have, but we winged it. A little frozen mango, a frozen banana, some milk, greek yogurt and orange juice later and she was quite happy.


Happy…and  maybe a little bit sassy. (This was E and B’s best photo work!)


Later I got some couch snuggles and a smooch…and a side of E photobombing!
