Almost a month after N’s birthday, we were finally able to do what she wanted for her birthday cake. Her idea? She would make a bunch of little 4″ round cakes and then we would all decorate our own under her guidance.
As it turns out, she’s a pretty good teacher! In addition to baking the cakes, she also made the frosting as well and created vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter and oreo butter cream.
From there, we all chopped up our fillings (thank you Halloween candy) and did our cakes with N’s watchful eye and help. And boy did we all need it!
I thought she came up with a really fun idea and way for us to celebrate her birthday and have some different cakes. But, next time we definitely need to find some people with which to share!
We also had our middle school cross country banquet. That meant more cupcakes that N got to bake.
N is wearing a whistle because her team voted her “most likely to be a coach” and both N and E got certificates for completing their whole season.
An event we can all attend? Definitely have to grab a family picture! I think I’m about to be the shortest one in the group!
We’ve got a band concert, NHS induction, honors chorus and high school cross country awards banquet this week along with all of the other life stuff we normally do!
What did you do this week?
