Turkey Day | Mommy and Me Monday | 668th ed
The kids had the week off, Mr. Serious took the week off and I sort of took the week off. Of course, there were still some group runs and other things that had to happen, but we squeezed in some fun, too.
We went to see a magic show. Which was pretty cool, but also, I realized magic isn’t my thing. It’s especially not my thing when there’s a water tank and handcuffs involved.
I also don’t care for being tricked…which is kind of the theme of magic shows.
But, we did get a cute van pic!
Thursday, we all did the local turkey trot. B did the shorter kid run while the rest of us did the 5K.
The oldest two took off and ran/raced with their friends and E and I did our 5K together. It was her first official 5K and she did great running the whole time. Then, at the finish she took off on me and I couldn’t catch her.
We all came home, showered and got warm and cozy…and well some of us fell asleep. Mr. Serious swooped in with the stealthy picture…nice, right?
Turkey dinner was just the 6 of us so it was extra casual (but, hey no paper plates this year) and at dinner time. The new kitchen made it easy to set all the food on the island and not crowd the table which was nice.
Back to it this week for the hustle between the two holidays and all the things that will fit in between the two!
