First race and run | Mommy and Me Monday | 758th ed
It’s racing time! All of the girls had their first official race this weekend. At different courses, naturally.
Since I’m coaching, I took E and B to their race and Mr. Serious followed the oldest two to theirs.
I had to snap a picture with B…her first team race.
And a picture with E…her first official race as a team captain!
All four girls did so well at their races. The oldest two had personal bests from the entire season last year for their two miles.
E had a new personal best for 2 miles and B did a great job racing with non-teammates. The Junior team girls took 1st place and our boys took 2nd.
It was a busy Saturday for sure, so I had pushed my long run to Sunday.
I had 60 minutes to run, and the oldest offered to bike with me while I ran. How’s that for some role reversal? I did have to ask her to keep up the conversation because I’m not well-versed at running and talking.
It was quite hot and humid. I think I could have squeeze sweat out of my hat and shirt. Good times.
