2nd place winners | Mommy and Me Monday | 794th ed
This weekend was not a team race, but a family team race. Except none of us ran together at all (save the warm-up).
Some of us raced, some of us kind of raced, and some just had fun. (The oldest had so much fun, she missed our picture).
Post race sweaties…glad the race was over. It was hot hot and humid quickly.
After we finished, N and I learned we both were 2nd place winners for our age and gender groups. And neither of us had a PR, either. But, we definitely pushed hard.
I’ve got to work on sustaining that discomfort, but also, get my heart rate in check a little more.
It was a lot of fun and a great way to end the season for our middle schoolers…now we and they rest, while high school keeps on running along.
