My Milestone Moments as a Mom

With four kiddos (ack…four, right?), we are always celebrating some sort of milestone or another. Sometimes it’s something like a first smile. Other times, it’s reading a whole book. We have the full range of milestones and each one is a victory and worth celebrating. Sometimes, it’s even a mom milestone (ask me tomorrow as I venture out with all four girls for a doctor’s appointment for B!)

On a whim, I decided to add some milk to E’s cereal. What do you know? She knew to scoop it up with a spoon and didn’t make too much of a mess. I probably should have done this months ago, but well, did I mention mom of four? But, of course, we had a little celebration!

Or when your little holds your littlest (with mommy assisting) and only loves on her (with some seriously strong hugs and kisses…we’re working on it)? Huge milestone. I really don’t think there was any jealousy.

Little holding littlest

Of course, for me, it’s having all of the things done around here (laundry and dishes), but remembering that these little ones don’t keep. They grow up and change every day. I have to remind myself constantly that those aren’t the things that really matter. Just likeĀ Noelle Pikus Pace, U.S. Olympic Skeleton Athlete says ā€œmoms are in training every minute of every day!ā€ I’m constantly growing and learning as a mom, too. So I have to celebrate my milestones, even whenĀ ā€œRaising a family is like training for the Olympic Winter Games.ā€

Even if we celebrate when our toys all have working Duracell batteries or that we have enough toilet paper in the house, we celebrate those milestones with P&G! Because, when it comes to raising kids, every finish line is a new start. You to learn more about Noelle’s story and milestones she celebrates with her family.
