It’s attached to me | WW

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Ambassadors SE Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

I admit it. I’m addicted to my iPhone. It’s pretty much always attached to me. After our crazy unplanned unassisted home birth, I’m so thankful it was and is. I took it from room to room with me because it had my relaxation and birth affirmations playing non-stop from the time my water broke and my contractions started to the time B was born. It seriously didn’t leave my side (the battery didn’t even cough at this, either).

Then, it was right there and handy when B arrived and we had to call the midwife and then 911. See? So glad it was there.

And, glad it was there to capture those very first pictures because in those moments, I don’t even know where my camera was! Both Mr. Serious and I used our iPhones to capture her pictures as well as make important phone calls.

Mr. Serious actually took my phone in the van with him to the hospital. I felt so naked. I wanted to snap a million pictures of my newest little girl. And, I couldn’t. As soon as we got to the hospital, we were both snapping away.

{B getting some more skin-to-skin time. They were all about this. They didn’t even put a diaper on her…which was fun when she pooped!}

{I don’t know what upset her, but I think this was her first really good cry.}

{First snuggles with grandma…just hours old.}

Then, once we were back home, I was able to capture a little more of the every day. I know I need to get out the big girl camera, but I keep track of my nursing sessions with my phone, so it is still literally an arm’s length away.

{Two big girls that really missed their daddy.}

{This one can’t get enough of her newest little sister. She came in our room and leaned in and kissed B. Then said “I just can’t stop kissing her mommy!” And then I melted into a puddle.}

Thankful for the iphone camera

{Miss E. Always wanting to be a big girl. She grabbed her sister’s shoes while she was at school and walked around in them. Proud of herself is an understatement.}

{New year. Trying to get back on the fitness wagon. I hope to be joining in in a couple more weeks once I get released. Even E and N participated. #1 did it the day before and was taking a break.}

They aren’t always perfect pictures, but my iPhone allows me the chance to snap a picture quickly and easily. Even though Mr. Serious often hates that it’s so close to me, I’m glad I was able to capture these pictures and these moments.

    that’s an amazing birth story. I’ve actually heard a lot of camera companies can’t cell their cameras anymore because iphones are as good or better than the digital cameras they have out. they are going to have to survive off of really high end cameras.
