Perfect Nursery with Q-tips and Wendy Bellissimo {giveaway}

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

DSC_5081 Designing the “perfect nursery” for your baby is tough work.  There are so many options and so many items out there to buy that it is often hard to make a choice.

Check out this new addition of Q-tips in baby packs that have recently been released.  They are shown here on the dresser in our youngest daughter’s room.

Notice I said daughter…and yes the walls and blue!
Recently, celebrity nursery designer, Wendy Bellissimo teamed up with Q-tips and reveled how to create the perfect nursery.

1. Don’t Sacrifice Style for Functionality: We like to use baskets and bins in our kid’s rooms.  It helps keep things organized and yet easily accessible.  The new Q-tips® Baby Packs are available in two adorable nursery animal designs with a new sliding drawer.

2. Be Your Own Designer: Look through catalogs and pictures and decide on the look that you like.  Start looking and thinking way before your due date so you have time to execute your plan.

3. Add a Personal Touch: Find some family pictures or custom artwork, or even create your own to add your own touch.

4. Room to Grow: Look for basic colors and designs, or even solids so your room can grow with your child.  Even consider getting a traditional dresser that you can add a changing pad to instead of a changing table.

5. X vs. Y: If you aren’t finding out the gender or want to be able to reuse the items you purchased, go with gender neutral colors like greens and yellows.  Actually, our youngest daughters room is blue and it is quite girly with some pink, flowery accents.  Of course, those could have easily been changed out if she was a boy.

Win it: MomSelect and Q-tips would like one Really, Are You Serious? reader to win the same “Perfect Nursery” Product Pack I received (which includes two Q-tip baby packs and a silver elephant bank.)

For your first entry: Describe the nursery in your house, or your dream nursery.  This is your first entry and is required before the extra entries.

  1. My dream nursery would be painted like either a jungle or in all pink with characters on wall. I would have the crib, changer, bouncer and all baby items in room and the room would be off of my bedroom and a nice rocking chair

    Evidently Q-Tips aren't that hot a commodity. However, I use them just about everyday, so sign me up! My boy's nursery had khaki walls so I wouldn't have to repaint when he got older. Then I added the fun with bright red curtains that matched the starry crib sheet, navy and red shelving, a dresser I painted navy that had fun, red star handles and a huge blue paper star lantern hung from the ceiling. The walls are now the same, but the stars have long since been traded out for monster trucks!

  7. My dream nursery is the nursery I did for my lil' man. I did a chair rail around the whole room. Big two shades of blue. I had a mural cover the rest of the room. Mural makes it look like you are on a pier looking at the sailboats, pelicans, clouds on the ceiling, and much more. 🙂

  24. Hi! My "dream" nursery would be color-coordinated with mostly primary colors (red, yellow, blue) but also a few other BRIGHT colors… perhaps a kelly green, and a deep purple. And, it would have a changing table, a comfortable rocking chair, in addition to the "normal" nursery stuff like a crib and a chest of drawers.

  26. My dream nursery is in soothing creams and light blues, colors that will last all the way into adulthood. The furniture is solid and classic, the crib is convertible to a bed, the artwork is chid-friendly but not child-specific, and there are books everywhere! There is definitely a large, comfortable chair for nursing and snuggling.
