What did you least expect?
Oh, the list could go on and on. You think you know exactly how it’s going to go, or what’s going to happen, and bam something new.
Did you know your lips were going to get swollen about a week before delivery? Heck, even your whole face.
Ever imagine that people asking you when you are due when you are past your due date would make you crazy?
Or how about the fact that even when you do lose all of the baby weight, your clothes will never fit the same again?
Maybe the fact that your hair was going to fall out in clumps (well, at least mine did) about a month or two after having your baby?
Playtex Baby wants to hear what you least expected! Starting April 16th Playtex Baby is holding a contest on their Facebook page, asking Moms to share candid, unexpected moments of pregnancy and motherhood. They will be selecting daily winners, as well as a grand prize winner who will be flown to LA for the premiere of What To Expect When You’re Expecting. The film will feature Playtex Baby products including the Playtex® Nurser with Drop-Ins® Liners and the Playtex® Diaper Genie® Disposal System! So what are you waiting for – log on and share your story today!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Playtex Baby. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating.
OMG, people look at me like I’m crazy when I mention the hair falling out thing. I wish I had measured the circumference of my pony tail just after giving birth then again now, I bet it is half. I’m still losing handfuls every day. I don’t think I cleaned out my brush once all through pregnancy but now I have to clean it twice a week just to keep the bristles working (they get lost in hair). It is totally disgusting!!
Thanks for sharing the contest info!
Oh, I should have done that, too! The shower is where it’s crazy for me. It takes me like 10 extra minutes to get all of the stray hairs off of me!
So agree about the clothes! I am below my pre-pregnancy weight and the fit is just off. As for the hair…mine is still coming out!
Well, I’m not quite there on the weight, but not where close on the clothes, either. It’s crazy.
And, my head is so sensitive from all of the hair jumping ship..but I’m glad to be losing some with how hot this summer will be.
I wasn’t expecting the pin of engorged breasts once my milk came in
Oh, yeah, that is pretty painful…and one of the things people don’t tell you about.
Or that you can develop Bells Palsy which will make you feel beyond deformed? I woke up Tuesday and the right side of my face was numb. Saw a Neurologist that day and yup….BP. My right eye wont blink, the ride side of my mouth feels like I was given a shot at the dentist, I cant taste, my ear is killing me and now I have to do 12 sessions of electro physical therapy and take 6 days of steriods in hopes that I can fully recover. And here I just wanted to enjoy the 6 weeks of this wonderful pregnancy.
The things we women do for our precious babies!!!!
Oh my goodness, Kim. I’ve never heard of this before.
We will be praying for you. That the symptoms go away and that the medicines and treatments work quickly.
