Can Georgia Do Texas? The Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Texas is a funny state. I think it’s the one state flag everybody can recognize (well, except #1’s high school soccer coach, who thought it was the French flag). Most people have their Texas stereotypes in their heads too. When we moved here, everybody asked me if a) I owned a horse and b) owned a gun.

No to both!

And, it’s one of those states that tends to have themes.

On September 6-9 Stone Mountain Park will be celebrating its 44th year with the Yellow Daisy Festival.  In addition to the artists and some of the nations’s top arts and crafts (pottery, fabric, painting, jewelry, sculpture, fiber, photography, fine arts, and traditional arts and crafts), they will feature a Texas on Tour exhibit which will have an experiential virtual trip to the Lone Star state. Most importantly, a chance to win a free Texas vacation. Yeah, I’ll be entering that one!

You can stop by the Humana tent for free giveaways and to enter for a chance to win a Stone Mountain Park annual pass package good for four Mountain Memberships.

*I received a free parking pass to tell you about this; but really, I think it’s going to be pretty cool to check out.

Make sure you wear some comfy shoes because you’ll be walking a lot! It’s fun at the festival. It would be more fun if I had a wallet stuffed with cash! My fingers are crossed for your free TX contest…
