NOLA Mommy and Me Monday | 245th ed
Mr. Serious, B and I headed out to NOLA early Thursday morning to celebrate the wedding of one of our oldest friends (ha! Now, I’m calling you old!!). But really, I’ve known her since high school, lived with her and college and she even helped with our engagement and she was in our wedding! And, Mr. Serious has known her since 5th grade! We go way back! Jenna, you get your own post, though when I have time to wrap my head around what I want to say! Love you!
B was amazing in the car for the 7.5 hours it took to get to New Orleans. We checked into the hotel, grabbed our carrier and hit the French Quarter. After a quick walk around to make sure we knew where everything was, we grabbed a drink, hung out for a second, then headed back for dinner.
B and I thought the flowers were gorgeous! Naturally, a selfie/usie is required.
Mr. Serious was a rock star. He shuttled B back and forth to our room for naps and feedings. He even got her dressed. Twice!
Just the three of us after the ceremony. It was beautiful and perfect! The weather was just amazing and Jenna did a fabulous job on the decorations and the flowers. Yes…she did the flowers for her own wedding!
See? Amazing! My sister and I are fighting over wanting that chandelier. Not that I have anywhere to hang it!
Second line. We walked through the French Quarter with a jazz band and hankies. People stopped to video and take pictures. It was crazy and fun!
Best souvenir? Goes to the photo booth. It was popular for everybody and we all left a copy of our picture with notes to make a guest book! Where was this 10+ years ago (oh yeah, that’s right, that was back in the film age!) The third picture (if you aren’t following on instagram, you should be!) might be my favorite from the entire weekend of us!
Lots of pictures! So much to share! And, we got home right at midnight Saturday night! Big thanks to my mom for flying in and watching the the older three so we could be there to support our friend!
What is your favorite part of weddings or wedding weekends?
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.*
So many cute pics! Looks like a fun night out. 🙂 Congrats to your friend!!
We had a photo booth at our wedding 6+ years ago – I remember we were one of the first weddings to do it, and it was SO MUCH FUN. We still look at our “guest book” of photos! And that eye makeup – you look fabulous!!! <3
I loved watching your photos over the weekend! Very pretty. The wedding must have been gorgeous. Best wishes to your friend!
What a great time! I am loving all those pictures! Nothing like friends, fun and it all be wrapped around the most important event in two peoples’ lives. God bless Jenna and Al!
My own post? Awesome! Thank you to you and Mr. Serious for taking the trip to NOLA to celebrate with me. I would also like to thank Grandma Mommy and Me for watching the older three so that you and Mr. Serious could be a part of my wedding. Lastly, you guys need to visit New Orleans more because Baby B was a celebrity, there are absolutely ZERO redheads here, a unicorn was spotted with each appearance that she made. Most popular baby in the city! Love you guys!!!
Great pictures…looks like it was a really nice wedding. It’s my first time linking to your Mommy and Me Monday. I’m glad I found your blog 🙂
Lots of great photos! So glad yall were able to be there…
Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. I love all the fun photos.
New Orleans is fun. I’ve only been there 1 time. We didn’t go during Mardi Gras either. Your make up looks great.
