Canon Rebel T5i – Hot Gift Idea at Best Buy

At the very top of my wish list for Christmas this year is a new camera. Yes, I have a DSLR, but it’s pretty old now (7 years), has limited focal points, limited ISO options and doesn’t do video. I know that a camera is only as good as it’s user, but I think I could do better with a newer version.

I imagine a camera is close to the top of the list for any parent because we want to capture our kids at every moment. Okay, not every moment, but most of them! And with digital, when my oldest photobombs my picture again, I can just delete it and move on!

  1. I bought a new camera a few months ago and really wish I had waited a while longer! The Canon Rebel looks like an amazing DSLR and has so many features!

  2. I seriously drool over this camera every time I go in to Best Buy. I have the Canon T3 – which I bought at Best Buy a few years ago – that I have loved dearly… but… but… well, mama needs an upgrade LOL And having had a Canon, Nikon and Minolta – I will go back to Canon EVERY time. LOVE.

  3. I totally agree about going to the store and picking up the camera and testing it out. There are some things you just have to hold to really get a feel for it. We use the Canon elph for our little point and shoot and have for years now (just different versions over the years) I have no doubt that their DSLR is amazing too.

  4. I have that very camera and it wins at life. The zoom is amazing, and had professional news photographers vying for a turn to use it when I joined them as a photographer for the Royal Tour of Prince Edward Island back in 2011. Sadly, I used it so much that I had to upgrade to another Canon last year, but I still keep that first one in my back pocket.

This camera looks amazing!! I’ve been wanting to get an actual camera for a while now. My phone camera just isn’t cutting it anymore. It’s insanely hard to catch a picture of a toddler and them be perfectly still as to not blur the picture. Thank you for posting this!!

  6. I would love to have the Canon Rebel T5i. I have a Canon (a much cheaper model) and love how well the pictures turn out. The Canon cameras also seem to last longer than other models.
