If I Had Ten Minutes
To the tune of "If I Had a Million Dollars?" because I’m pretty sure it’s just as rare!
Ten minutes to myself is a dream. There is a brief blip in the afternoon when both of my girls are sleeping, but by the time I eat lunch, that moment is usually over. Usually, those ten minutes are spent reading email and catching up on blogs.
But really, I can’t do a lot in ten minutes. So, let’s think about the things I wish I could do, realistically, with ten minutes to myself.
- Take a shower or a bath
- Make a phone call without having to stop to talk to a child
- Go to the bathroom without any "helpers"
- Put on some makeup
- Paint my toenails
- Watch a TV show that isn’t a cartoon or CGI
Tell me, what would you do with ten minutes all to yourself? And be honest…it’s only ten minutes.
Sprint has just launched Gaming on the Now Networkâ„¢, bringing you the first wireless 4G network from a national carrier. Sprint and JuiceBoxJungle have sponsored me to write about what "ten minutes" a day means to me.
This time of year~ my 10 min. sitting in the hammock…..Cute post.
Ten minutes for a mom is priceless.
I have to say 10 minutes seems like NO time to me. I can sit her at the laptop for 30 and think it was 5. You know? That being said I’d probably sleep. 😀
Well I was gonna say I’d shave with my ten minutes but judging by the amount of hair on my legs it might be like 10 hours!!! lol… with 10 minutes I would make some brownies to stick in the oven and then with my leftover minutes would lick the bowl clean 🙂 See I could do this with my toddler and baby in the room but then my toddler would want to eat the batter with the raw eggs and I won’t let him 🙂
oo with 10 minutes.. high on my list would be to go potty without a helper! I would also pick up all the toys so it could last for 9 minutes!
10 minutes…i know this will sound weird but to cook dinner. just 10 mins. to not have a child wanting to sit on the counter…pushing a chair up to the counter…not opening up the fridge a 100 times. That would be nice!
i would take a nap. yes i know it’s only ten minutes. but ten quiet minutes. awwww a little slice of heaven.
Ohh only ten minutes! I rememer those days all too well! Sometimes it was rea the front page of the paper, a quick chapter of a book, pay some bills on line…oh and sneak some chocolate the kids didn’t know I had hidden in the pantry!
I’d like to say read a book or a magazine but let’s be honest, I’d want more than 10 minutes! Hmmm 10 minutes to myself I’d probably spend right here blogging!
Now that song is totally in my head – thanks! LOL
Man, if I had 10 minutes I’d curl my hair. I never do anything with my hair anymore and I miss those days LOL
Probably read. But I feel like I get a lot of free time during the day. And I usually spend it reading 🙂
Ten minutes sounds lovely. I would probably be so in shock of being left alone I would waste it trying to think of what to do. I went on a trip alone last month and sat at the airport and just enjoyed not having to worry about kids wandering off or keeping them entertained. It was grand to just sit.
(Lovely and grand. I need to go to bed and stop sounding like an 80 year old woman).
I’d read a chapter of a book. What I usually do in ten minutes is start a load of laundry!
