A brief slow down | Mommy and Me Monday | 337th ed
There was a little slowing down this week. When you’ve been gone for almost more of the month than you’ve been home, you need a break. The oldest two girls were actually supposed to go to a camp and we cancelled from Michigan because we knew it would be too much. It cost us some money, but it was worth it.
There were school supplies to be purchased. New socks to be folded. So much laundry catching up. So much.
Oh, and cleaning. This place was a mess. And purging. Which resulted in crying. Not mine. But it should have been.Â
Friday’s last minute sitter and wine party invitation resulted in Saturday morning snuggles with B instead of a kickboxing class. I think we both needed it.
Monday morning, bright and early, the oldest two start 4th and 2nd grade! I’m a bit in disbelief. But, my camera battery is charged, my first day of school signs (grade specific) are printed and we think we are ready to go!
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. yay snuggles! 🙂 I was happy to have a well rounded, Mama only weekend while Daddy was away. It was nice!
Enjoyed watching your adventures from afar, and, yes, a slowdown sounds like a good idea! I get so caught up sometimes in trying to squeeze in every little thing during our brief school breaks. I have to remind myself to just stop. Sometimes it’s okay to just be home and relax a bit. Hope you all enjoy this final week of summer!
Soak up all the baby snuggles!
Yes, the snuggles are good.
