A playdate with the middles | Mommy and Me Monday | 339th ed

Right before school started, we did a mass purging of all of the toys that were missing important pieces or games that didn’t have parts. It felt good to get rid of so much. We also donated a large portion of it. But, the kids were on the lookout for some of their things. So, a Hasbro Playdate came at the perfect time (they didn’t ask us to post or anything, just invited us to check out some of their newest toys!).

We can’t see a photoshoot setup and not stop and pose and take a picture. We’ve never lined up like a picture for this and it was kind of fun. I’m wondering if they other two would fit in as well.

Then, I had to take a Mr. Potato Head family picture. Much like true life, two of our “kids” have fallen apart! And, Mr. Serious is really looking good with that goatee. Or is it a beard? It’s hard to know because they don’t have necks. Also, true to life, I’m looking a little crazy and my hair is kind of a mess. But, look at our kids. Aren’t they looking fabulous?

Fine, you aren’t here for the silly pictures. How about this cutie playing Monopoly Junior. She’s 4.5 and I had no idea, but she totally gets it. Our neighbor and friend taught her how to play and she was whizzing along. Yes, she also has a cookie and fruit cup, too. It looks like she’s gaming hardcore.

And the thing these kids spent the most time with? The ball popper. We’ve had one for over 2 years and the kids still have a blast with it. If you don’t have one, you need one. Everybody always giggles!

The grown ups were able to talk and chat because the kids were playing so well. It was a great and easy event and I even stopped and took and us-ie with Danielle which we never remember to do!

And when we weren’t taking pictures, we were building our favorite Marvel and Avenger Potato Heads (why didn’t I know this was a thing?). We made quite a few Avengers and maybe a few mashups…they had butterfly wings!

I think it’s safe to say we had a fun time at the Hasbro Playdate!

What were you up to this week?

Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.  Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
