An odd week | Mommy and Me Monday | 418th ed
This past week has been an odd one…and with one week until our February break we need everybody on the mend and well!
We started the week with one sick big kiddo and then transitioned to a sick little who took two naps on me in one day that doesn’t usually nap at all. I mean, it was sweet and all, but I could do without this nasty flu that is going around. We even had the oldest quarantined.
Thankfully, by the end of the week, she was feeling better. But the amount of school and work missed has been crazy. I told Mr. Serious it felt a little like what I imagine house arrest feels like. Except it’s my job to take care of these kiddos.
We are currently doing and taking all the things; diffusing and applying Thieves essential oils, drinking elderberry syrup and tea, taking Emergen-C and more. We’ve got to get this stuff gone!
By the weekend, it seemed everybody was happy and healthy and well. Thank goodness, because we had a multi-county science fair to attend. After taking honorable mention at school, she got second place at the county fair.
After getting her ribbon and checking out all of the other projects, we went to the theater (with very poor lighting and shadows) for her to get her award medal! We’re pretty proud of this kiddo!
We’re headed into this week with another kiddo not looking so good. So, any good thoughts and well-wishes for us ALL being healthy this week and next would be amazing!

Good job oldest one!!!!
I too also want everyone to be healthy soon – LYSOL everywhere
Glad they are both feeling better. Being sick is the worst. Congrats to your big one on the solid win!
