Spending time with the family | Mommy and Me Monday | 440th ed
After our trip to Houston, our quick trip back to Atlanta and then our trip to Vegas, we spent some time with my sister and her family. (At this point, after getting home, I still have no gauge of what time it is or what timezone I’m in.)
I’m not sure we even recovered from our travels when we decided to head to the pool in the middle of the afternoon. In Houston. In direct sunlight. But, we all had a blast.
I did some Mommy Shark singing, which turned into “Aunt Krystyn Shark” and “Morgan shark” which they thought was hilarious. If you haven’t heard the song, you should totally give it a listen. But, really, what parent hasn’t heard it?
We practiced our swimming and the girls also took breaks with their puddle jumpers (I recently saw some with shoulders on them which I really like more because kids can’t take the arms off).
The cousins all had fun swimming and diving and playing with toys together. We ended up having to say pool time was over when we started to get sunburned.
We bravely headed to dinner out with all of our girls, too. They did very good and it didn’t turn out nearly as crazy as everybody thought it might. 4 adults….7 girls 11 and under. It’s always good fun, right?
It was nice to see our family, but four of us are home now and happy to sleep in our own beds again! Have you visited family this summer?
What did you do this week?
