A non-break break | Mommy and Me Monday | 451st ed

Fall Break has come and gone at the Serious house. It’s the first one in a while that we didn’t make plans for. We needed a week of nothing (that still turned into some things), but overall, the unplanned was welcome.

We did some freezer meal planning, a trip to Sam’s club (they ate the hot dogs and pizza), a couple trips to the YMCA, and I’ve forgotten what else.

We did squeeze in a couple garage workouts where N decided to join us for part of it. After proclaiming “this is hard” she decided to do her own thing for the second half. Man are garage work outs sweaty! But they sure are good for us. I’m glad we got these garage mirrors, too. They are perfect for pictures! Now I just need to get some LED lights for them to brighten the room up a bit.

E and I had to wait a bit for an appointment, so I took a second to grab a picture with her with her “all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth” smile. She’s thankful they are really coming in already and wonders why people keep referencing the whole Christmas and two front teeth thing.

It’s back to school for these kiddos and more of a routine for me, but of course, not without appointments for grown up things like dealing with the bats that have taken up residence in the gable vents of our attic.

What did you do this week?

GET IN THE PICTURE WITH YOUR KIDS! Who cares what you look like?  Cares how you appear? Who cares what you are wearing? JUST DO IT! Come share your picture on the Facebook thread or use #MommyAndMeMonday!

  1. Love that you’re working out together as a family! I can’t wait until my kids are old enough to get involved.

    1. You’d be surprised how early they want to jump in! My girls tried yoga with us before they were 2!
