Runoff election | Mommy and Me Monday | 670th ed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

The kids had an asynchronous day of learning this past week because of the Georgia Senate runoff election. Being one of only a handful (maybe less) of states that require the 50%+1 rule is getting kind of old.

We’ve had a lot of runoff elections.

That meant the house was full of kids that needed to complete work online, and one kiddo that needed to have a live session before her state mandated EOC (end of course test).

That’s fun. The state requires an election runoff, and they also require kids to take end of course tests on certain days and the runoff is the day before a test that counts 20% of their grade.

Stepping off my soapbox.

I asked which kids wanted to come with me to the polling place. I only got one taker.

Crazy to think in less than 2 years she’ll be able to vote! This whole kid aging thing happens so fast!

It’s the last week of school before a really long break and I think we all simultaneously need it and will be on each other’s nerves by the end.

What did you do this week?

GET IN THE PICTURE WITH YOUR KIDS! Who cares what you look like? Who cares how you appear? Who cares what you are wearing? JUST DO IT! Come share your picture on the Facebook thread or use #MommyAndMeMonday!
