School’s Out for Summer | Mommy and Me Monday | 694th ed
The last week of school came and went! We’ve ended 10th, 8th, 5th and 3rd grade all with all As!
Before the week finally wrapped we had a few more award ceremonies.
E received one of 7 Presidential Awards for her entire grade. It was a bit of divide and conquer as E’s awards and N’s awards overlapped. Thankfully, Mr. Serious stayed to pin the award on E.
N received student of the year in band at her 8th grade award ceremony and I was able to be there for that and her walk over to the high school.
Because of the 8th awards and HS finals, and early release, the oldest two and I did a weights workout. We are trying to build some muscle on them before their running really ramps up.
The oldest had her track award ceremony that evening and received two plaques for breaking 2 school records on the 4x800m team.
Yes, three award ceremonies in one day! Whew!
Before we knew it, it was the actual last day of school. I made sure to grab a picture with E on her last walk to the elementary school.
Then, when all of my chickadees were home, it was time to grab our last day of school picture.
And now, it’s summer! Time for summer runs and practices, a couple camps, and getting some work hours for the oldest.
I know the summer will fly by! And it will be back to school with 2 in high school, 1 in middle and B the lone ranger at the elementary school.
