Voting and Dress Shopping | Mommy and Me Monday | 736 ed

Very last minute Tuesday, I decided to walk up to our voting location at dismissal time (which is also our elementary school), grabbed B and walked into the school to vote. It was only a primary for presidential election and pretty silly to even vote because the candidates are basically determined.

But, I needed to remind myself it’s a right to vote and show this kiddo that we get to vote and should. So, I got my vote in.

This weekend was a tizzy of races that I managed to get to both to see all of our runners run at least one race. That meant a 35 minute drive in one direction, and hour drive to the second race and then 45 minute drive home. We made it work and got to see a lot of PRs!

Sunday, the oldest reminded me her running shoes were at their limit (running is a “cheap” sport they say…you just need shoes they say…until you figure out they run at least 300 miles in about 2.5 months so you are constantly replacing expensive shoes!!

Then she was like, let’s just go get a prom dress. So, shop we did. It’s pretty much my least favorite thing to do. I’m not a fun clothes shopper….but I do pick out winning dresses.

This isn’t the winner, but we did find one, so check, that’s off the list.

We’ve only got one race this weekend, which will be like a whole new world. And, it’s pretty close by…oh, but we could have a week day race, too. It’s fun finding out at the very last minute, so we’ll see!
