Eclipse, County and Junior Prom | Mommy and Me Monday | 740th ed
It was definitely a busy week here. It seems that always happens with the last couple weeks of school and track season.
Like many people in the US, we were able to see the eclipse. We had about 80-90% here and all went outside to have a look. Some of us like to make sillier faces than others.
Mr. Serious was off to Arizona for a conference, but we all managed two days of back to back races, yucky weather and more.
After the first day of the race where we got pretty drenched and N ran a 1600m, we came home and did some legs up the wall as instructed by her coach. I was happy she asked me to join.
The next day, we were back to the race for N’s 3200. Where she had a 10 second PR! After the race, we all needed dinner and with no plan, I saw a sign for a place, and the girls all agreed we should stop.
Mr. Serious made it home Friday and we spent a little time watching The Hunger Games. I don’t get to make the movie decisions, but I was happy to join for a bit.
Saturday was long run day. The oldest got there a bit earlier because she was running 10 miles and had prom preparations. The rest of us did 8 miles, 60 minutes or 45 minutes. B did 45 minutes with me and then I did the last 15 minutes of my run solo.
It’s freckle popping season and I’m here for it!
Then it was back home for Junior Prom preparations.
Actually, I didn’t really do anything to help her get ready. She flies solo (and let’s be honest, does a way better job at hair and makeup than I do!)

Thought it would be good to bring my big girl camera, but the pictures kind of are washed out. Either way, still go pics with my oldest before she headed off to the dance.
And stole a kiss, too!
She headed off with a group of friends and I went home and had dinner…and got to sleep in slightly!
