E’s Third Birthday | Mommy and Me Monday | 261st ed
These kiddos keep having birthdays and getting older and I still haven’t figured out how to make them stop. Disney has a big place in our hearts (how do we get back there), so we were thrilled when we were asked to host a Disneyside party. Nothing beats friends, family, yummy food and treats and Disney for a celebration.
{The family, of course!}
{The food: chips, homemade kettle corn, cuties, marshmallow pops, cupcakes, veggie platter pizza and Honest Tea lemonade}
The day before we used the Duff tie dye kit to make rainbow cupcakes and then that evening we made homemade kettle corn. I was told this was the best kettle corn, ever. So, yeah!
And the cupcakes were a hit, too! Half of them were red, orange, yellow and half were green blue purple (I tried to put all of the colors in one cupcake but that wouldn’t work)!
Grandpa shared his with B, and said she got her first bluetooth. Ahahaha. Grandpa is funny!
We did Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse inspired marshmallow pops following the Truffula Tree Recipe. The kids love these and they make super cute decorations.
Since we already had cupcakes, we though the Mickey cake pan for a veggie tray.
We set up a little backdrop for pictures and pirate Mickey was nice enough to pose with the oldest.
Pin the mouth on Mickey Mouse was the biggest hit for the kids and the adults watching.
It was so funny to watch all of the kids that thought they were placing the mouth with such certainty. Them they remove their mask to find that they were way off.
The obligatory “let’s get all of the kids in the picture and try to get them, all looking in the same direction and smiling” picture. We did pretty good!
Singing happy birthday was the best. She sang right along with us and was just so excited!
After cake, we played some Disney bingo. This is another huge hit with the kids because they love seeing all of the different Disney characters and rides from the parks. This game makes me want to take another Disney trip something fierce!
E, you are as the embodiment of sugar and spice. When you want to do something, you go all in 110%. But, when you don’t you are equally 110% not committed. You love whole heartedly and are as stubborn as your mommy. You randomly come up to us and tell us you love us and give the sweetest hugs. We love you so much and can’t wait to see what this year has in store for you.
What is your favorite way to celebrate a birthday?
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. **There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.*
What a fun par-tay!! And look at all those sweet treats! Happy birthday to the little lady!
I always feel like there isn’t enough….then I look at the pictures and I’m like, yeah, there’s way too much!
grandpa and I were very privileged to spend E’s birthday with her. We loved her birthday grace too.
also “eat more chicken!”

Love the cupcakes! This looks like the perfect party–great use of a theme without being over the top. It looks extravagant without being crazy-expensive.

Happy 3rd birthday, E! Looks like you had a great time! I hope you and your fmaily get to go to Disney soon, and we can tag along.
