Blue Ridge Fall Break | Mommy and Me Monday | 815th ed
With a couple days for a school break and taking time off work, we spent a little time in the north Georgia mountains.
While we’ve been to Blue Ridge many times, we had never been on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, so we made a trip of it.
While the leaves weren’t quite changing, we got to see some river views and relax on the train. Then we had two hours to spend on the Georgia / Tennessee border.
After grabbing lunch, we walked around and snapped a few pictures, this one right onto the state line.
We also did some shopping. There were a lot of different roosters at an antique and resale shop and I decided we needed one. After throwing out a couple different name options, I landed on Ricardo aka Ricky the Chicky.
The girls are a little obsessed too.
It’s a little weird on our first family trip with just 5 of us while the oldest doesn’t have the same school breaks, but we managed to have some fun.
