Museum of Illusions | Mommy and Me Monday | 829th ed
We were treated to a trip to the Museum of Illusions in Atlanta this past weekend.
It was a quick trip down to Atlantic Station to see all of the illusions and wonder that the museum had to offer.

In addition to the fun photo opportunities, there were also puzzles and games to flex and bend your brain muscles. One of our kiddos stayed at a puzzle game until she figured it out!
The Museum of Illusions Atlanta is a family-friendly, Stem.org certified attraction at Atlantic Station. The museum features over 80 mind-bending exhibits that challenge perception and introduce visitors of all ages to STEM learning.

At each exhibit there is an explanation of what to look for, how to get your eyes to see it (if needed) as well as why/how it’s happening. If there is a photo opportunity, there is also an explanation of how to best achieve the shot. Many exhibits also had an employee available to give you tips and/or to actually take the pictures for us allowing us to get a group shot.

When we arrived, we were also given a little qr code. We weren’t told to scan it immediately and register, but you should do that. That way, you have it if you lose the little card and you are able to access your pictures later.
There are several stations throughout the Museum where you can scan the code and there is a camera that will take your picture with a display and countdown. The above picture is one of the places the QR code is helpful, however, it chopped our heads off. But we were able to get our own pictures. (In the collage above, a couple pictures are from their cameras).
This chair picture setup was good and easily fit our big group and they assisted in getting us a picture.
We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was timed entry, but was still a touch on the crowded side, but not terrible. We had to wait for a few of the photo opportunities, but not terribly long. Also, there were times when people wouldn’t realize there was a picture being taken, so you do have to pay attention to what is going on around you.
We spent about an hour walking through and looking at all of the exhibits. There were families with kids aged newborn all the way up to adult only groups. There’s definitely something for everybody at the exhibit.
