Awards | Mommy and Me Monday | 641st ed
It’s the last week of school, which meant all of the awards ceremonies and banquets last week. There were three of them in two days. And it was only for the oldest two!
First was the oldest kiddo’s award ceremony for (Distance) Track. She ended up competing at Regionals (where the 4x800m relay team she was on got 3rd place and their entire team won the title of Region Champs) and qualifying for sectionals.
Apparently pictures with your mom aren’t cool in high school…especially at awards ceremonies, so, if this is all she gives me, this is what I share!

Pretty proud of her a second Varsity Letter her freshman year!
The next day, it was off to N’s school award ceremony and track award ceremony.
We dropped off cupcakes N made for the Distance Track awards for the middle school. Then, we headed over to the middle school for awards there.
At her school award ceremony, she was presented with a Principal’s Honor Roll award for all A’s in 7th grade.
I had to get in one with my girls! Of course, the oldest wasn’t able to come as she was off at lifeguard training. We keep things busy around here.
We quickly walked from the middle school to the high school to catch the distance track middle school awards. Unfortunately, the coach wasn’t able to attend, but thanks to the last 2+ years, we are all pretty versed in Zoom-ing into things.
N was presented with the Dedication award! She has shown so much growth with running track (and cross country) and that alone is rewarding but we are super proud of her winning this award, too!
DEDICATION is the Sportsmanship Award – Respect for the sport and other athletes. Conduct and attitude considered as benefitting participants in sports, especially in overall fairness, courtesy, striving spirit and grace in losing.
This person has the most respect for Track, and has fallen in love with the sport. They are always encouraging their fellow teammates.
Here comes summer. I’m not sure if I’m ready, but it’s coming anyways!
