Robe buddies and work rides | Mommy and Me Monday | 652nd ed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

We are one week into the ’22-’23 school year already.

With all four girls having practices during the week, and school, and three of them with a cross country time trial Saturday morning, Sunday, there was some sitting going on.

Honestly, probably not enough sitting and slothing and being still, but some.

(Can we also take a minute to recognize how toxic apple watches are? “If you just did a 30 minute run today, you’d close your rings.” No apple. We need rest days. Our oldest has a Garmin and it is constantly telling her to rest. Apple needs to get with it!)

So, B and I had some time just chilling on the couch in our robes. We have declared each other our robe buddies…probably because we are the only two in the house that use them!

Always stop and take a picture with your robe buddy!

It didn’t last long because the oldest needed to be taken to work. 30 minutes each way for a 4 hour shift. And, it’s not freeway driving. There are a lot of stop lights.

And when the kiddo asks for your extra polarized sunglasses because the reflection from the pool water has her eyeballs on fire, you bring them for the drive home.

She naturally checks herself at the stoplight to see how “mom-like” they look and pivots the camera to get me in the picture.

Thanks kiddo! We keep it fresh around here!

Let’s bring on week two of the school/practice/life chaos! It’s all good fun!

What did you do this week?

GET IN THE PICTURE WITH YOUR KIDS! Who cares what you look like? Who cares how you appear? Who cares what you are wearing? JUST DO IT! Come share your picture on the Facebook thread or use #MommyAndMeMonday!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.
