Pre-Race and Social Ride | Mommy and Me Monday | 707th ed
With the temps in the upper 90s and feels like pushing upwards of 100, it was a hot and humid race weekend. The older two girls didn’t have a race, but the middle school team did, so we all went to coach/cheer/run.
E let me grab a picture before it was time for her to start warming up. I think at this point we were already pretty darn sweaty!
And here she is running to the finish of her 2 mile race. It was so hot and humid.
Sunday, Mr. Serious and I ventured into midtown/downtown for our very first (and Big Peach’s very first) social ride.
It turned out many of the people came with their own social ride groups already, but Mr. Serious and I had a good time. And whew, there are some good hills to climb in the city. Also, lots of starting and stopping at stop lights.
This week, we’ve got 3/4 of the kids racing and they will all be at the same race. It will be lots of hours in the heat, but I’m excited to finally be able to catch my older two in a race.
