Family Movie Night | Mommy and Me Monday | 786th
After a very long day with two separate track meets, everybody was a little sun-kissed (some of us more than others) and a lot tired. We all left the house around 7am and 8am, met up for dinner and then went home. It was quite a long day.
Upon arriving home, we had a little family movie night complete with eye masks for all.

And when that happens, naturally, you have to snap a picture.
Family movie nights get better and better when there are more options we all enjoy. And one that we’ve all liked is WICKED. It’s so very good. (And oh my goodness, did you see the performance at the opening of the Oscars?)
We were sent a copy to enjoy and it enjoy it we have. The story. The songs. The set. The costumes. The characters. All of it is so good. We are bummed we have to wait until November for part 2. I saw WICKED at the Fox Theater many years ago and I’m still excited to see this version and how they do it.
WICKED, one of the most beloved and enduring musicals on the stage, arrives on your screen as a generation-defining cinematic sensation. The untold story of the witches of Oz, WICKED stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman who has yet to discover her true power, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman who has yet to discover her true heart. The two meet at Shiz University and forge an unlikely friendship – before their lives take different paths following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Their extraordinary adventures will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Wicked is an immersive, cultural celebration you’ll want to experience over and over again!
