PJ and Ice Cream Night | Mommy and Me Monday | 787ed
Saturday was quite a busy day. I feel like I had lived an entire day by 2pm!
It started with an alarm wake up and getting my personal run in for the day. Then a quick shower and a drive almost an hour away for a race for N (with carpool company…thank goodness!) All of this while the oldest headed to work and Mr. Serious took the younger two do complete their run.
The race had some interesting challenges for us that weren’t communicated (separate entrance to the race for spectators with no signage or notes) as well as a clear bag requirement that wasn’t communicated. And finally, we weren’t able to go near our athletes (which hasn’t been a thing at any other race we’ve attended).
But, we made it. And despite the longest time for a couple heats of 4x100m relays, our girls ran their 1600 and we were headed back home.
It was time for to get ready to attend a friends’ kiddo’s concert and then to head to the local ice cream place for PJs and ice cream.
There were two options: wear pajamas or donate a new pair. The girls opted to wear their pajamas while Mr. Serious and I opted for the donations. It would have been my fourth outfit by 5pm and I thought the donation had a nice ring to it.
We opted to get ice cream just before dinner time to really mix things up! They served us huge single waffle cones! We were pretty full!
Thankfully, they had quite a few dairy free options so we were all able to enjoy a nice cone! We all screamed for ice cream!
