Overwhelmed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

You know that feeling that you get where you could stay up all night and it still wouldn’t get done?

I’m there.

When you have three loads of laundry that are washed but not folded and you really just want a break?

I’m there.

And you’ve been running around doing a million things and trying to be a zillion different places at once?

I’m there.

And your hubby has been working his rear end off at work and home and you feel like you are two ships passing in the night?

We’re there.

It seems that there is just more and more to do every day. How do we ever keep up?

In addition to going to work today and all of our regular daily events;
-Mr. Serious took our car to the shop for maintenance (BTW, not a place that is hurting due to the economy…and if they were, they just got a Serious household stimulus package),
-we had a roofing expert come out and look at our leaky roof, and
-I had a barium swallow test where I found out that I likely don’t have reflux.

I’m not trying to complain. I have a wonderful husband, and two perfect and healthy little girls.

Right now? I’m just overwhelmed!

  1. Sometimes it's okay to complain.

Remember what I wrote last week about peaks and valleys? You're on that road in between. Things will improve — and I know you know that.

    Hang in there.

Hey, at least you probably don't have reflux! šŸ™‚

  2. I will be keeping you in my prayers!

We have all been there šŸ™‚ so a little complaining can actually make you feel better sometimes.

  3. Hang in there. I will be praying for you. The feeling is not fun and is frustrating. I was there a couple of weeks ago and now I'm better (not perfect).

Hugs to you and hug your family!!!

  4. How about when your to-do list is longer than a novel? I am right there with you. I guess that is what I get for taking the summer off to just be a mom! Good trade-off, don't you think?

  5. Hey Krystyn,
Dont worry! Somehow each fall feels like this – not enough hours or days to get done what needs to be done. But it will all resolve – you guys are in my prayers.
    Stress stinks.

  6. Don't worry…we have all been there. When I get stressed out you always have to stop and think…if this is the worse that is going on in my life…im rather lucky. Believe me…easier said than done (i had a major fit during a 3 hour traffic ride yesterday) but just take a minute and breathhhhe šŸ™‚

  7. Sometimes, when I'm feeling stressed and overwhelmed, I've found that sharing my feelings on my blog (OK, some might call it venting) is very therapeutic. Just know that you're not alone and you will work through it.

  8. You mean, that place where every little thing seems important, but none of it seems to be getting accomplished…

    Ugh, I can relate.

Hang in there. Those girls' happy faces are all the reassurance you need that the important stuff IS getting accomplished.

  9. Can I say I am there too! It is only 10:30 am and I am ready for this day to be over! UGGG!

WHERE O WHERE is the LAUNDRY FAIRY?

Well at least we all can focus on Labor Day Weekend! Hopefully!

    Take care

Sorry so much is going on with the 'Serious' family. Hopefully if Papa Bear gets you on the same page as him and Mr. Ramsey you will be a SAHM in 2010 and beyond! let me know if I can do anything, like be a party planner!!!!!

  23. Yeah, I know that feeling and I've only got one and a part time job – big hugs!!

  24. Tip from my sis (mother of 5 kids) – when you’re overwhelmed, identify the TOP thing making you anxious (no groceries? bills need to be paid? if you walk by the messy kids room one more time you might slit your throat?) and do it, at all costs. Suddenly a great part of your burden will lift and you can go about some more tasks with a brighter outlook. I’ve tried this LOTS of times and it works!
