Monday, Mr. Serious and I attended a Braves game. Well, scratch that. We attempted to attend a Braves game. We got to our seats after the rain had cleared. The weather looked good.
Good thing we stopped to get a picture. There aren’t many outings these days, so we had to document it.
Then, it started raining. And it didn’t stop. The game was cancelled after a rain delay and rescheduled for Wednesday early evening, making the day a double header.
We weren’t planning on attempting to attend the make-up game. However, Mr. Serious wanted to go and we didn’t have any plans. So, he decided to take two of the girls. Then, the original people from our group weren’t planning on going and more tickets emerged.
In the end, Mr. Serious took our oldest 3 girls and 3 of their friends.
B and I decided we’d rather stay home. B didn’t care what we did as long as we did it together.
We started with watching The Mitchells versus The Machines. (It’s super cute, if you haven’t seen it). After about 45 minutes, we got dinner ready.
No surprise, but cooking for 2 is way easier than 6!
Before we ate our dinner, we grabbed an us-ie. (She’s wearing a Frozen/Cinderella dress that she wore to camp).
We had our dinner, and B decided one of her waffle fries that was folded over looked like a hot dog.
Then, we remembered, we can both fold our tongues like hot dogs. Did you know this is genetic? Neither Mr. Serious nor N can do it…but we like to have them check periodically just to make sure. Also, we might laugh a little when they try because it’s pretty hilarious to watch.
After our very fancy and tasty dinner, we went back to our movie and let our dinner digest.
Before it was over, we broke the rules and made a Snowie shaved ice and ate them on the couch while we watched the end of the movie.
The next morning, B told me how much she enjoyed her “Mommy and B time” and it made me realize I need to make a better effort of making more one-on-one time with the girls.
How often do you spend one-on-one time with your kids?
