With two birthdays and two cross country meets and all other life things this week, I’d expect to have a couple events to pull from for Mommy and Me Monday.
Instead, it wasn’t until Sunday that I realized I didn’t yet have a picture. I lamented this outloud and E immediately said “I can help with that!”
I was unloading the dryer and she asked if we could play a game together to help. It was pretty obvious there wouldn’t be any other game players, but I did ask what game we should play.
I don’t even know who suggested it, probably E, but then she said “let’s color a picture together.”
We flipped through the book and found one that hadn’t been partially colored and that we agreed we both liked.
Mama and baby koala bears for the win.
We both picked different greys for our koalas…she colored the baby and I colored the mama. We thought that made the most sense.
Turns out you can’t see that we did in fact actually color it while the oldest grabbed some pictures.
Tada! Mama and baby complete with giraffe trees colored.
Can you tell that I was up at 4am and then in the car for 3 hours for one of the races? And E did 3 hours each way with a hotel sleep in the middle?
How is it that we can catch up on sleep? We are all pretty darn tired!
What did you do this week?
