Jr Beta Club Induction | Mommy and Me Monday | 664th ed
Our elementary school has a Jr. BETA club program. E was offered the opportunity to be inducted into the club.
She’s had a couple meetings and we had to pay for her club dues. She even rehearsed the induction ceremony with the other inductees.
The ceremony was after 3 of us had practice, so we hustled over the the elementary school in our practice clothes.
Some of us missed the candle lighting and E having an unplanned speaking part (the doors were locked and a man wouldn’t let us in, so we had to wait for Mr. Serious to run down and let us in).
But, we made it in time to see all of the inductees and to get to pin E.
She was very concerned I was going to poke her with the pin. But, not to worry, that didn’t happen.
Happily pinned and proud new Jr. Beta Club inductee.
And, a bonus, no race Saturday so I took B to the game for her to cheer. Fall is here, and it was cold, but she cheered loud and proud!
One more official season race for the oldest at the state cross country course and looks like the B’s corresponding football team will be going to playoffs so there are more games in our future.
