Happy 6th birthday, B! The year of the rainbow unicorn

Well, B, it’s a full month past your 6th birthday, but better late than never, right?

You have been planning and dreaming of this birthday and this cake for pretty much an entire year. Anything that can have a rainbow and a unicorn is like the best ever in the history of the world.

Your big sister N didn’t disappoint. She came through and went over and above and beyond with her six-layer rainbow cake as a happy unicorn.

We had a couple friends over for an afternoon singing of Happy Birthday and cut into the delicious cake. It served 12 of us and there’s enough for all of us to have seconds and thirds.

You also decided to get a manicure and pedicure on your birthday (that were gifted to you at Christmas) and in your true spirit you were happy to share the experience with E and me!

You are a huge fan of riding your bike (no training wheels) and hop on at every opportunity.

You pull us all out of our element and still sometimes request to be considered a baby. I’m not complaining.

You are one amazing kiddo with the grit of about 10 kids. Don’t ever lose that!

And every year, whether you like it or not, we return to the downstairs bathroom for a picture together where you were born and where we had our first picture together. Thankfully, we are looking a little more pulled together now!

I mean, compared to our very first picture together…. Unplanned, unassisted home birth (aka your birth day).
