B’s 9th birthday | Mommy and Me Monday | 673rd ed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Another year, another another picture in our downstairs bathroom returning to your birthplace. I love that you get excited about your annual potty picture and make sure we take it (scroll down and you’ll find links to the previous ones). Your unplanned, unassisted home birth (aka your birthday) is one that will never get old.

Happy 9th birthday!

Your oldest sister had to work, and you weren’t impressed but we made your trip to Willy’s, dinner request of meatballs and cake while it’s still hot all happen!

And, we checked out Putt Shack.

As we were walking into the area, we saw a setup for a picture and had to stop to get one. Naturally, your sisters wanted to pick you up. I think you liked it!

Then daddy told mommy to get in the picture. Sure thing! I’ll join in.

Then a family walked past and offered to get one of all of us! Winner! (And yet another “family” picture with only 5 of us. We must rectify this!)

Then it was time to putt! The first round you weren’t very happy because you didn’t win. That’s okay. We can’t all win all the time.

We took a break between our first 9 and second 9 holes. When we finally got to the second 9 holes, you perked up. It might have helped that you won the entire round (I think that hole-in-one on the first hole was the mood improvement you needed!)

This is the last hole when you realized you’d win the game and nobody could beat you!

After putt putt it was time to head home, get those meatballs and cake started and get your oldest sister from work.

N got to your cakes so they would be “hot cakes” per your request after dinner. You were quite pleased with them.

The cakes were so hot that they actually started to melt the candle in the cake. It was the ending to your birthday you wanted.

I can’t wait to see what year 10 (I think that’s what it means because you start at 0, right?) This year has brought a lot of teeth lost, a lot of growing taller, different glasses (that you don’t like wearing), catching the -vid, getting welcomed to Science Olympiad at school, running your first cross country race and so much more!

Here’s some of the monthly pictures I managed to get.
