Happy 10th Birthday, E! | Mommy and Me Monday | 628th ed
How are we already at two whole hands?
The big 1-0?
She’s 10!
Our rainbow baby is 10!
She’s recently taken 1st place for her school’s science fair and also placed in the regional Science Olympiad competition.
Yep, it’s a big one. And for the first time, I think since she’s started school, she was at school on her birthday (it’s usually a holiday week) and I was allowed to come in and bring her lunch. She asked for sushi, so I delivered.
Our E can eat some sushi. And as her friends were all intrigued what she was eating, she asked if they liked sushi and they said “I don’t know.” Which made me realize I certainly never had sushi for my 10th birthday.
Then it was off to carpool and pick up kids at various practices and dinner of her choice. (She selected hibachi.)
Like previous birthdays, N made E a cake. Minecraft-themed again, but this time a lava block and water bucket. Both cakes were chocolate…one had coffee buttercream and the other had mint buttercream as requested.
As seems to be the trend of late, we also got a family window-sill picture to document the day with all of us.
E, you are sweet and spicy, direct and cuddly and just the right mix of you! Happy birthday! We love you!
1st birthday: breakfast and pajamas party
